If you’re like me, your weekends can easily be filled with running different errands around town. More often than not, I find that I end up driving across town at least twice because I didn’t plan well and go to multiple places in the same trip.
This is where QuickTrip comes in. QuickTrip automatically pulls in any existing appointments you may have, such as visiting the dentist. Then you can add in any other less time-sensitive items, such as going to the grocery store and picking up a print order from the studio. The app will then take all of these locations and figure out the best plan and route for your day.
Maybe you were thinking of going to the grocery store later in the day. QuickTrip may suggest instead going to the other grocery store location that is right by your dentist office, taking care of two things with one trip. The app also takes into consideration traffic patterns, weather, and store hours to give you the most efficient routes possible.
Another benefit of the app is the vehicle maintenance integration. By simply scanning your VIN number on your car, the app will know all of the suggested maintenance for it, and also be able to remind you when you need an oil change, and even help you schedule it.
This has been a really fun project to work on, really digging into the UX. There are even more cool features coming!
Go check it out in the App Store.
